To be fair to Adam... this post will feature "my" doppelgänger. My is in quotations because I really don't see the resemblance. However, more than one person has wholeheartedly agreed with this match. (Sigh) So here she is and the closest pic I could find that would resemble her:
Her name is Tina Majorino and she is most commonly known for her role as Deb in Napoleon Dynamite. Again, I just don't see it. So what if I like side pony tails?
Anyways... I'll be posting soon about our awesome Memorial Day weekend with my parents. AND we're getting ready for more visitors on Thursday! Adam's parents will be here! Woot!

Memory Lane
I was unpacking a box today and ran across a bunch of old pictures. They made me laugh and wander back to the past. I thought I'd share a few with you.
Here are some of my brother and me:
This was a pic from my freshman year of college. I'm on the far right. I was so excited to be on the cheer squad.
This picture is funny to me. Adam and I weren't even dating yet, but we were friends. He is in the forefront of the picture. This was his very first ATU football game... EVER. He wasn't one for school spirit. I'm in the background. He came to see me be crowned Homecoming queen! Don't look at the stands on the other side because it makes us look kind of dinky. I promise it was more crowded than that on our side at least.
This is a very fuzzy pic, but I will keep it forever.... and dream about my abs. Those were the days... ha.
This little delight was baby Bear! Wasn't he cute? (note the past tense) I think this was before he took a tumble in the dryer. So sweet...
Look at this smile! Wish I could slip back in time and watch this little rascal. I think he was a handful.
Alright... one more...
Ever watch Say Yes to the Dress on TLC? This was my "say yes to the dress" moment. It was not a fancy dress boutique, but it did the trick! I'm so glad my mom snapped this pic to capture the moment.
That's it... Thanks for walking down memory lane with me. We're getting geared up for our first visitors this week! My parents will be here Friday night through Tuesday morning and Adam's parents arrive the following Thursday. Can't wait to show them our new place!
P.S. Don't forget to leave your best comment on Adam's spidey picture!
Here are some of my brother and me:
I found this pic of Adam and can't decide what he is thinking... "You actually left me with this guy? Are you serious?" I think it makes Spiderman look like a creepy baby snatcher. Please, please, please leave me a comment at the bottom of this post and tell me what Adam was thinking. I'm sure you can think of something more clever.

I love this pic of Adam! He looks like the child version of his doppleganger, Robbie Williams, the British actor & singer.

A Week in Arkansas
We had an amazing time in Arkansas last week! It was so fun to visit with family, friends, and coworkers. Here are some of the highlights:
- We ate at all of our favorite restaurants: Acambaro, Feltner's, Tiny Tim's, Monte Ne Inn, Whole Hog, and Mellow Mushroom. Yum... Of course, Monte Ne was my favorite. It always tastes the same- delish! I haven't asked Adam, but I'm guessing he would say his fave was Tiny Tim's. We went there twice!
- We went to see The Avengers with our bffs. Hanging with our friends was especially sweet. I think we create new inside jokes every time we are together. (Jumanji house #scariestnightever)
- We met baby Ethan! He was precious and perfect. I learned how helpful the bathroom air vent can be when trying to quiet him, too. :)
- I went to my old BSF class in Fayetteville! It was a special night because Big A (Austin) rode with me and we went to get some chick-fil-a before hand. Seeing all of my faithful sisters in Christ warmed my heart! And Julia's lectures are one of a kind.
- We had fun with both the families and all the nephews and niece. It was particularly nice to be home for mother's day weekend (even though we had to fly out really early on Sunday morning).
- We booked our flights to Europe for our Olympics trip this summer! It is shameful that we waited this long to do it, but things have been a bit crazy. We have half of our hotels booked, too. More on that itinerary to come later...
- We went to one of Austin's t-ball games. It was too, cute. He is a pretty shy kid, but once he got on base, he would do a happy dance that was so out of character for him! Loved it!
We had some concerns about what we would find at home. The cats were on their own for almost 10 days. Thankfully, nothing was destroyed and they were both happy & healthy. We also had these two canvas prints waiting for us on the porch! I'm proud to say that Adam was the photographer for both! :)

My First Air Show
Saturday we went to the Ft Lauderdale Air Show with one of Adam's co-workers and his wife. It was my first air show, so I didn't really know what to expect. The show is right on the beach and it was packed! Adam snapped this pic when we first arrived. It filled up much, much more.
You can also tell that the day was cloudy. A few weeks ago, I posted that the weather is always the same here. That was pretty much wrong. Since then, we've had a lot of rain. And it was looking like rain Saturday. We weren't going to let that stop us, though! We busted out our new beach chairs and settled down to watch some flying!
The planes did some crazy things. I can't believe those pilots didn't get sick with all of the flips & twists.
We made it through about 75% of the show before the rain started moving in.
They ended up canceling the last act of the show due to the weather, but we still had a great time. And it was fun to hang out with some new people!
In case you haven't heard, we're coming to Arkansas!!! We leave tomorrow night and will be there through next Sunday, May 13th. So excited to see everyone!

Fruits, Nuts, and More
Adam works in the southeast region global food sourcing office. He is a senior sourcing manager. That means he works with farmers from Texas to Florida and all the way up to Pennsylvania to procure his categories. He is responsible for peaches, oranges, mushrooms, pecans, avocados, peanuts, grapefruit, and tangerines. So far, he's only visited one farm, but will do so about once a month. A few weeks ago he went to a peach farm and got to eat a peach right off the tree! (Thankfully he likes peaches... there aren't many more things on his category list that he can or will eat. He's allergic to peanuts!)
